Renovation and redevelopment of the derelict, former outpost-hospital at the edge of Braemar, into a luxurious 3-bedroom home. Stripped back to the granite walls and re-roofed, The building has been extended and fully remodelled internally. Externally, the new extensions use materials traditional to the area, in a modern design, to contrast with the traditional appearance of the granite frontage, which has been restored. The full-height glazed doors to rear of property and new granite dormer and Velux windows upstairs make full use of the 360 degree open views of the Cairngorm hills, framing the landscape.
