ICDP were appointed to design and obtain Detailed Planning Consent for a mixed development of flatted dwellings above a gallery of ground floor shops in the popular seaside town of Whitstable in Kent. The shops were designed to echo width and proportions of traditional shop fronts found along Whitstable High Street. The building is clad with white weatherboarding and London stock brick which respects the character of the surrounding conservation area.
